Our Partners
FFA
In our 2010 fall season, 75 FFA students from 5 different Jefferson county chapters gained experience working with children and educating the public about agriculture. During our farm's 'Autumn Adventure' weekends. Those students were eligible to receive a scholarship. The awarded scholarship recipients could use their money towards FFA sponsored activities or for their college education.
FFA Alumni
The Fort Atkinson FFA Alumni’s 'Feed Bag' provides delicious food for Busy Barn Farms. All of the proceeds generated from the Feed Bag's food sales are used towards FFA student programs, activities and scholarships!
Agriculture in the Classroom
The goal of the Agriculture in the Classroom program is to help students gain a greater awareness and appreciation of the role of agriculture in their lives. The program is carried out in each state by educators, volunteers, and representatives from agricultural organizations and businesses. Busy Barns Farm has partnered with the Agriculture in the Classroom program to continue to reinforce the importance of agriculture and teach our future consumers about our nation's largest industry.
4-H
Last fall season local Jefferson County 4-H members demonstrated and educated farm guests about showing animals at the fair. In addition, they exposed families to the "learning by doing" opportunities 4-H offers to youth.
